So, Who Was More Impressive: Fedor Or Anderson?

I've been dying for an excuse to use this picture. But now, onto the real conversation. Fedor and Anderson spent a combined minute and thirty-seven seconds dismantling their respective opponents. Fedor used submissions, Anderson used strikes. Each made their fight look like Kobe Bryant playing in a church league. They're both champions. So the question remains, which is the more impressive man?

thats like picking between Kobe and Lebron, or Peyton and Brady. You can't go wrong with either one. But as much as I'd like to see Fedor v. Couture and Spider fight all the great fighters at 205 in the UFC (which I hope he does), I think i'd dump in my pants on the spot if i heard Spider v. Fedor would ever go down....

I just got home from the Affliction fight, and let me tell you, I didn't see the Silva fight yet, but I was a non-believer in Fedor....UNTIL TODAY. I was afraid for Randy to fight him, and I thought Randy would win that fight. That was AWESOME, no, no, that was FEDOR. I just want to say, as I have said for a long time now, Affliction is the real deal.

Both are in their own way great. But I have an addiction problem. I'm addicted to seeing a fighter walk down the plank to the ring with a stoic, non committed look, a look like I've got business to do and this fighter I'm addicted too walks with a distinct authority. No need to bop around listening to music. Yes my fellow fighters, I'm addicted to the greatest fighter ever, Fedor Emelianenko. He goes into the ring. The bell sounds. He presents to the other fighter an object to throw at. In an instant the other fighter is down and out. A mear minute earlier his face, although hideous as always, after being pummeled, gets up with a smashed face. Anderson. Yea he's a great fighter too and he also seems to have no equal. I'll take Fedor.

Im more impressed with Anderson. We all knew Fedor was gonna kill Timmeh. Maybe not that quick, but we knew he was gonna dominate him. Silva was moving up in weight, and nobody really knew how this was gonna go. You cant count Irvin out because of his power, and Silva destroyed him via strikes. I think he proved he is pound-for-pound the best in the world.

Fedor vs Arlovksi, and the Pit Bull is gonna put him down. Arlovski is back in a big way.

Irvin is a one punch fighter. Sorry but although can be impressive, is not that much of a skill. For Silva to have won that fight is not that big of a suprise. If they would have put Silva against a more formidable opponent, then that would have been worth the watch and talk and hype. I agree with Marty, Fedor is all about getting in, doin the job, and getting out. He barely speaks at the press conferences. He just wants Randy. That's business. Silva went up to 205 to try it out and see what it was like. Fighters do that all the time. He doesn't want to fight for the belt cause he bud Machida is in that division. Fedor doesn't care. He wants to fight. Greatness.

I didnt get to see the affliction fights but I wish I saw Fedor submit Tim in 36 seconds thats awesome! Anderson Silva was amazing as usual I knew hed be just as dangerous at 205 and he was

enl35794- I think a lot of Arlovski. But go read the statementsabout him. He wants nothing to do with Fedor. He's been offer the fight twice, and he wouldn't take it. Not because of money, he is really scared. I can't fully back this up with where I read it. In a MMA magazine for sure, which may not even be right, but the fighters talk amongst themselves, and it was in one of those articles is where I read it. I hope it comes to me soon. I must back up this comment. Give me time.

My vote goes to Fedor. Remember that Fedor did to Sylvia in 36 seconds what Randy couldn't do in 5 rounds. Don't get me wrong...Sylvia is one bad SOB. He's a monster in the cage but there can only be one "best fighter in the world". And that my friends is Fedor (IMO).

I really didn't think that Fedor was gonna have such a walk-over...He's great! I am now a believer...I love Randy but can this guy be beat??? 36 seconds...i would have pissed if I would have blinked. I think it goes 1-Fedor 2- Anderson Silva 3- GSP

Their skills are both world class, but when it comes to Muay Thai adjusted to MMA, there is no one like Anderson Silva. When it comes to Sambo adjusted to MMA there is no one like Fedor, they are both in a class by themselves!
